Vegetation, of all varieties, require specific requirements to grow. Water temperature is crucial to profitable plant sales, or fun, recreational growth. Utilizing a water cooling system can remove heat that is generated from the sun, or high intensity bulbs. This allows for happier plants, less stress, and cooler gardens.
Water is beneficial to the growth of plants, but also is efficient in chillers as well. At Whaley Products, the thermal conductivity of our heat transfer units is beyond perfection. Water has a thermal conductivity of .6W (m*K). This conductivity is higher than air, which measures 0.03W (m*K). Water can remove heat more than 15 time faster, and more than 3 times the amount as air. The energy used to recirculate water and keep you garden cool, does not go to waste.
Not any chiller is able to be used for gardening purposes. You wouldn’t want to use an aquarium chiller to keep a large garden cooled. A standard aquarium chiller cannot withstand the constant load of heat. They will not work as efficiently as a chiller targeted for agriculture. Whaley Products recommends keeping the chiller in a well ventilated, or cooled area. An exposed chiller can raise the heat of the water temperature, if not properly covered.
